Andrew Hatch

Lead Golf Shop Assistant

Andrew was born in Seattle, WA in 1987.  He was raised in Lake Forest Park, WA. There, he attended Shorecrest High School, where he lettered 1 year in varsity soccer, and 3 years in varsity golf as team captain. Outside of school, Andrew participated heavily in club soccer, where he both played, and coached for local youth teams. For employment, he spent his summers working at Nordstrom in downtown Seattle.

Although he didn’t grow up in Sudden Valley, he spent portions of every childhood summer in the valley with his Grandparents, who were golf members in the 80s’ and 90s’. Here, Andrew was both introduced to the game, and smitten by it. He even attended the esteemed Sudden Valley Junior camp at the tender age of 7.

Andrew has been a Bellingham resident since 2007, and joined the Sudden Valley staff in April of 2011.

Stacie (Schmidt) Scheffer, AGM

Retail Coordinator

Stacie (Schmidt) Scheffer is no stranger to Sudden Valley. When she was just 7 years old, her father, Ray Schmidt, was hired to construct Sudden Valley Golf Course, and he remained on for an additional 17 years as the course superintendent.  Stacie joined the Sudden Valley Greens Crew herself when she was just 14 years old - mowing greens, tees, setting the course, and maintaining the sand traps for 7 years. (And yes, it was she who took the greens mower for a swim in front of #9 green).

Eventually Stacie left to pursue a college degree in management and assume the Pro Shop Manager position at Riverside Golf Course in Chehalis, WA. Through this path she found her passion for retail in the golf industry. Since then, she has managed several retail facilities and provided buying/merchandising services for many golf courses in the Northwest including Semiahmoo Resort, Loomis Trail GC, Avalon GC, Skagit CC, and Sudden Valley G&CC. She recently earned a professional certification in Human Resources, is an active member of the Association of Golf Merchandisers, and is pleased to be serving as the Retail Coordinator for Sudden Valley G&CC.
